UN Security offer a range of security training services ensuring that not only their own security personnel are trained to the required standards but also so that customers own staff or individuals can be trained to the same exacting standards.
In the UK all companies or individuals wishing to work in the Security industry must partake in security training courses regulated by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
The main duty of the SIA is the compulsory licensing of individuals working in the private security industry.
In accordance with the Private Security Industry Act 2001, section 3, schedule 2. Anyone wishing to obtain a frint line licence in the following sectors will be required to obtain a recognised qualification by attending a training course and passing an exam.
How do you get a SIA licence?
On completion of the training course the individual will be required to sit a test. On approval of the test results individuals can apply for an SIA licences by completing an application. Once the application has been received and the examination results are confirmed the licence will be issued by the SIA within 7- 10 working days. Once the licence is received the individual is then free to work within the security industry in line with the licence that has been gained.
Before undertaking any training course :
- Check the training provider’s backgrounds.
- Ensure the training provider is accredited.
- Try to find reviews of ex-students.
